Location

The Strelitzia Nicolai thrives best in a spot with lots of indirect light . A spot with a few hours of direct sunlight is also ideal, provided that this is morning or evening sun. Avoid places that are too dark, because otherwise the plant will grow more slowly. The ideal temperature is between 18-25°C , and the plant does not like temperatures below 15°C. Also make sure there is enough space, because the leaves can spread out widely.

Water requirement

The Strelitzia Nicolai has an average water requirement. Keep the soil slightly moist, but avoid the roots standing in water all the time. Let the top 2-3 cm of the soil dry out before watering again. Water more often in spring and summer, while you can reduce the watering somewhat in autumn and winter. Regular spraying helps to increase the humidity and prevents the leaves from drying out.

Soil and nutrition
